The SSFUSD community has been working hard to create a bold and exciting strategic vision and plan! One of the key pillars in the work ahead is “Empowered Educators,” which is about becoming the great place to work for mission-driven educators in the Bay Area.
Each year, based on the guiding principles they created, we will look to celebrate and appreciate SSFUSD educators for the incredible work they do every day.
In South City, we’re coming together every year to appreciate and celebrate our incredible SSFUSD educators.
This year, we are leaning into the guiding principles of “meaningful,” “inclusive,” and “timely” by offering all our educators $50 Visa gift cards that they can use wherever, whenever, however they choose, and with whomever they choose.
Our local community of businesses has rallied to kick it up a notch this year by showing their admiration and support as well. Many businesses and restaurants are offering special menus, extra discounts, and free items to educators who come in and use their specially branded “Educating & Thriving” gift cards at the time of purchase.
